Dorzox-T Eye Drop is a blend of two active constituents called generic Dorzolamide hydrochloride and Timolol maleate. Both these active ingredients together in one brand of Dorzox-T in the form of the ophthalmic solution are used to diminish the augmented pressure in eyes because of aqueous humor inside the eyes. This elevated eye pressure may or may not be associated with glaucoma.

What is the action mechanism of Dorzox-T Eye Drops?

Dorzolamide hydrochloride and Timolol maleate in Dorzox-T eye drop are accountable to decrease the eye pressure by diminishing the secretion of aqueous humor in eyes. The higher the eye pressure the more are the chances of optic nerve damage and loss of vision. Thus, Dorzox-T eye drop helps in reducing this elevated eye pressure.

How should you use Dorzox-T Eye Drops?

Dorzox-T eye drop is to be instilled in eyes for two times (one in the morning and one in the evening) daily as one drop for the recommended duration. Contact lenses must be removed prior to the administration of eye drop. A drop has to be instilled in eyes by tilting the head in the upward direction.

Use only for two times daily and not more than that or the drug can cause any other problem in eyes. If you missed any dose, then use one drop as soon as you memorize but if it is near to the next dosing then skip the missed dose and continue with the next dosing.

When should Dorzox-T Eye Drops not to be used?

  • Dorzox-T eye drop is contradicted in patients with oversensitivity to any ingredient of this eye drop.
  • Patients with bronchial asthma, airway disease, liver, kidney or cardiac failure are never suggested to take Dorzox-T eye drop.
  • Do not administer Dorzox-T eye drop if you have any other ophthalmic disorder other than recommended.
  • Pregnancy and lactation are inadvisable states for the use of Dorzox-T eye drop until not recommended.
